Designed as a dedication to and in the spirit of the often overlooked women of the Bauhaus movement, our Anni Quilt is an ode to Anni Albers. Anni Albers, a student of the Bauhaus from 1922 to 1930, was a textile designer, weaver, writer and printmaker who inspired a reconsideration of fabrics as an art form, both in their functional roles and as wallhangings.
Our reversible throw, made by hand over many months, consists of block-printed percale cotton and natural cotton fill. Each quilt is hand-stitched using a traditional unknotted running-stitch technique.
